This week on Acta Non Verba, Nick Lavery discusses the importance of actions over words, leadership, and the power of failure and resilience in entrepreneurship. Listen in as Nick shares his insights on the military's chain of command, the lack of formalized leadership training, and the role of psychology in leadership. We also delve into personal experiences with adversity and the power of gratitude.

Nick Lavery is a Massachusetts native and active-duty member of the United States Army Special Forces, also known as the Green Berets. While deployed in Afghanistan in 2013, Nick overcame an insider attack resulting in the loss of his leg. Refusing military retirement, he returned to combat, becoming the first above-the-knee amputee in active duty. Nick, a Special Forces Warrant Officer, is a recognized expert in special operations, intelligence fusion, and mission planning. Decorated with awards like the Silver Star and Purple Hearts, he's also a devoted husband and father.
