Josh grew up in Brooklyn Park Minnesota and played high school ball at Champlin Park. He then went on to D-2 college ball at Minnesota Duluth where he helped the team to an Elite Eight finish. He moved on to Howard to pursue a law degree after graduating Summa Cum Laude in only 2 from UMD. Josh is currently the only D-1 basketball player also enrolled in law school.
