Paul Rothfuss is a 1960s Baltimore, Maryland Top 40 Radio Legend. After a brief studio recording of a news story while still in college, Paul and his golden set of pipes were hired at WMPT-AM/Williamsport, PA. From the early days of record hops to various market hops in Pennsylvania, Paul's radio journey includes York, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, and then onto the Baltimore Radio dial, where he eventually became "Emperor Rodgers". As Emperor, Paul was an attention magnet for the stations he worked with events and promotions that included "LIVE" zoo and circus animals, to hosting concerts featuring Wilson Pickett, and Mitch Ryder, He even turned down the opportunity to meet the Beatles. Paul segued from Air Personality to Radio Salesperson, to Radio Station Owner. He’s written two incredible books, available on Amazon. One about the ownership days: Wiggles, Winks, and Wizards. The other about his days behind the mic, both in and out of the studio, entitled Alias Emperor Rodgers. Paul shares many of these tales, and more on this AIRCHECK session.
