Domestic violence is a critical and prevalent issue that affects numerous individuals and families. Despite its pervasiveness, the subject of domestic violence is often unacknowledged and overlooked, particularly with regards to forms of abuse that take various forms. While physical abuse is widely recognized, other forms of abuse such as emotional, verbal, psychological, financial, and even educational and career abuse are often overlooked.

In this episode of "All Together", host Dina Sargeant is joined by Christine E. Murray, Ph.D., LCMHC, LMFT, the Director of the Center for Youth, Family, and Community Partnerships at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Christine is a passionate advocate for promoting healthy relationships and developing supportive resources for individuals who have experienced unsafe, abusive relationships.

Christine dispels the common misconceptions surrounding abuse in a domestic setting, highlighting the various forms of abusive behaviors and the long-lasting and detrimental impact they can have on a person's physical, mental, and emotional health. She also shares best practices for overcoming the challenges of domestic violence prevention.
