Government agency AHCA used false allegations, intimidation, and harassment in attempts to destroy the Bonati Spine Institute and forced a suspension of the ambulatory center affiliated with the Institute. The false information was leaked to the media, which then jumped on the

"story" in an effort to ruin the business of an outspoken Conservative spine surgeon.

Due to the weaponization of governmental agencies to deliberately damage the reputation of founder, Dr. Alfred Bonati and his facility, we are taking legal action in the form of a $500 million dollar lawsuit against the State of Florida.

The Bonati Spine Institute has filed a 9-count, $500 million lawsuit in federal court against the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) this week, citing civil rights violations, conspiracy by state officials, defamation and libel. The lawsuit was filed after the state agency shut down Dr. Alfred Bonati’s ambulatory surgery center in March of 2023 based on allegedly false accusations and for tortious inference with its ongoing business relationships in an effort to damage the practice’s reputation, the complaint says.
