It's Good To Talk: Speaking Up for Male Mental Health

In this informative and deeply personal episode of 'An Espresso Shot of Confidence' podcast, I highlight the importance of addressing male mental health.

The number of men committing suicide around the world is staggering, and in many cases no one knew that these men were struggling.

Back in 2016, I was in a very dark place and had suicidal thoughts...but, I was able to reach out and get support...

In this episode, I share personal anecdotes, about my own struggles with mental health, allowing listeners a real insight into the challenges faced by many men.

Delving into the reasons why men find it hard to reach out and the dangerous cycle of self-medication, my message is clear: silence isn't the solution.

I discuss various therapeutic means, such as neurolinguistic programming and therapy groups, and share some inspiring quotes from well-known male figures that have challenged the status quo around toxic masculinity. Above all, this episode serves as a critical reminder of the dire need for open conversations about mental health among men.
