Brian Greenberg - owner of Richard Photo Lab - joins me in this episode of the Artful Camera. Brian started his career in the photo industry over 20 years ago. His photo career has spanned from photo assisting, processing, scanning, printing and customer service.

Before Brian bought Richard Photo Lab, it was originally owned by a man named - you guessed it - Richard. Richard immigrated from China to Hollywood, California. He opened a small, custom photo lab. Richard developed a strong reputation for superb craftsmanship. As a result, Richard acquired a small commercial photography customer base that remained intensely loyal to him.

Years later, Richard was looking to retire. Brian Greenberg saw an opportunity to uphold what Richard’s name represented - superb quality and customer service. Embracing that culture and building upon it has turned Richard Photo Lab into one of the premiere full service photo labs in the world. Their services - which include film development, film scanning, and printing - is not limited to just film photography. They serve digital photographers, too, with their outstanding print services and products.

Now you might be thinking this episode is just about a photo lab. It’s so much more than that as you will hear in this conversation. Brian is extremely passionate about helping photographers in their business, marketing, and branding. On Richard Photo Lab website they say: "Our passion feeds our work, and our work feeds our passion.” You will hear the truth in that statement as you listen to Brian in this episode.
