Tripletail are more common around the northern Australian coastline than most people realise. They're just not a species that is captured by accident all that often, you usually need to go looking for them. And whilst tripletail are a popular sportfishing target in other countries, not as many sportfishers go looking for them in Australia as probably should.

But before you head off and scarper around the ocean looking for triples, have a listen to this conversation with Ryan Stimson. What he learned will not only help you pinpoint where to find tripletail, but will give you a good I dea of what lures to throw at them and how to work them.
