Mat Morris and Nancy Elliott talk about the importance of setting goals in both your writing career and life in general. Nancy reflects on her experiences as a “banana wrangler” in a previous corporate job. She shares the goal acronym SMART, which stands for Specific, Measurable, Action Oriented, Realistic, and Timely. Mat discusses some of his goals and hopes for the Author Strong Podcast and relates them back to the SMART paradigm.
Mat’s goals for the podcast in May are to put out a new episode everyday, complete with show notes on the website. In addition, he wants to make sure they’re able to have a live show at the end of the month to celebrate the completion of the first month of the Author Strong Podcast.
