The main challenge in the autonomous vehicle industry is that we try to replace the human driver with the machine or software. Many technologies have been created to help us make this happen, one of them is the system sensor.

Sensors such as LiDar, Radar, cameras have a very important role, which is to function as the eye of an autonomous vehicle. Much like human drivers, autonomous vehicles rely on optical sensors to understand their environment and identify hazards.

One such challenge is when a sensor’s view of the world becomes obscured by water or dirt. This seems to be a very challenging task for LiDARs which need to differentiate between a real object beyond the LiDAR, and elements that are right on the LiDAR window.

In this episode, Our CEO Dr. Hasan Ibne Akram, and Tom Jellicoe, Consultant - Sensors & Devices at TTP plc will talk more about the sensor system, LiDAR, sensor cleaning technology, the safety aspect of it, etc.
