In recent years, women in Halifax have begun speaking out about their negative and traumatic experiences with male photographers. Experiences including sexual harassment, exploitation, breach of contracts, and sexual assault.

At a loss for solutions, in a society that still fails to take assault and sexual abuse seriously, many of the models experiencing this abuse have begun sharing names and information through word of mouth in an attempt to keep others safe.

Those who speak out have faced retraumatization from the community debating the validity of their claims and turning the focus from the abuse they've experienced to the topic of "cancel culture".

In this episode of average takes, Kylee Nunn, a female photographer who has experienced assault and obstacles within the industry explores this topic from her perspective.
