With a dancer’s grace, Riva Nyri Précil moves between Haiti’s spiritual and artistic traditions and a striking, worldly perspective forged in Brooklyn. Born in New York but raised in Haiti, her visual and sonic world is profoundly hybrid and utterly beautiful. Out of those same ideals and dreams to uplift and support Haitian Roots known as Racines, Vodou, the perfect alignment was created when, Monvelyno Lead guitar, music director and co-founder, "A tag less phenomenon hard to frame in one capsule and considered a renaissance being to this age", and RIVA met through music, and together seamlessly they created what is known today as Bohio music. •••• The B-Side Podcast is produced by Charlie Hoxie, Kecia Cole, Ro Johnson and Sachar Mathias; recorded by Onel Mulet; and edited by Khyriel Palmer and Emily Boghossian.
