Thinking about the 4th of July

•Shout out to Simms from Vienna, Austria. She introduced herself in our Ravelry group!

•On the Needles:
oAnna is working on a pair of basic socks in Magpie Fibers “Empty Night” colorway. Anna is also working on a simple seed stitch scarf in some recycled teal yarn.

oBethany is working on her “Coronation Day” Boxy by Joji Locatele in the Winter Jewel color way from Fancy Image Yarns, she got her Frozen bag from The Scarlet Thread and an Elsa/Snowflake stitch marker from Dunn By Hand both on Etsy. She is also working on her Seahawks socks in Seahawks yarn from Fancy Image Yarns. The shawl of her own design is now a shell/tank top in progress in yarn from Forbidden Woolery in their “Sweet Pea” colorway.

•Sew A Needle Pulling Thread:
oAnna made a lotion holster to hold her massage lotion bottles.
•Spinning/Weaving:
oBethany did some spinning but did not do the plying she had wanted to do.
oBethany has not done any weaving but is mid chapter 2 of “Women’s Work: The First 20,000 years.”

oAnna finished watching Star Trek: Voyager and has moved onto Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She is also reading “Women Who Run With the Wolves” by Clarissa Pinkola Estes.

oBethany has been watching Friends, Feud, and RuPaul’s Drag Race season 9. She is also rewatching the West Wing along side the West Wing Weekly podcast and is enjoying the West-Wing-Along thread in the Ravelry group. She also read some textbooks and “Trifles” by Susan Glaspel and “Fences” by August Wilson. Bethany also saw the new Beauty and the Beast and did not care for it.
