One of the greatest comic book artists of our time returns with a reinvigorated new art style and brand new story about Marvel's Comics first family: The Fantastic Four. Alex Ross is known for his many comic book covers, fine art pieces, as well as illustrating such stories as Marvels, Kingdom Come, Earth X, Justice and many other outstanding works. Ross writes, draws, along with colors this unique Fantastic Four graphic novel published by Abrams Comic Arts. This story picks up with characters from Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's infamous story in Fantastic Four #51 This Man... This Monster, which we encourage listeners to check out but it isn't necessary to appreciate the masterfully crafted tale. This self contained journey takes Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Women, Human Torch, and The Thing to the Negative Zone when a familiar visitor from their past calls them back to the anti matter universe to help solve a problem only they can do. Just a typical day for this unique cast of characters. Ross takes these heroes back to their roots, while paying homage to a variety of influences that not only impacted the team, but himself as a comic book artist.
