In this episode we speak with Professor Julia Plotts, the Academic Director of the Masters of Finance program and Professor of Clinical Finance and Business Economics at the USC Marshall School of Business- where she has been awarded the Golden Apple award for teaching excellence 12 times. She is the mother of two children including a teenage daughter.

Julia gives us a glimpse into her journey from liberal arts student to Professor of Finance at one of the top business schools in the US.

Julia was discouraged from a career in STEM early on, but through a series of career changes found her way to a fulfilling career in finance.

She tells us about the learning experiences in her own financial life and what she is teaching her teenage daughter now.

Julia is now a passionate advocate of financial literacy and is making a difference in the lives of her many students.
