In response to the astronomical tragedy that was Travis Scott’s performance at Astroworld where 9 people have died and hundreds were injured, we take the time to tell you about Human Crushes, often incorrectly called stampedes. Travis Scott is *so far* being sued along with Apple & LiveNation to name a few for upwards of $750 million by 125 attendees and families of attendees. According to the news, Kylie Jenner, his pregnant wife, was present but not injured.
We’ll also talk about the Hajj, or the Stoning of the Devil ritual where millions of pilgrims travel every year in a short span of a few days, and roughly every two years an event occurs that kills hundreds of people, and sometimes unfortunately thousands. We briefly mention the Victoria Hall disaster & the Station Nightclub fire.
Finally, we’ll elaborate on Human Crushes, Crowd Crushes & Crowd Collapses, their differences, how to spot them happening, and how to protect yourself and others. We hope after hearing this episode you walk away safer and reassured you can attend events like these and still have a good time.
