Spain won all seven of their games during the tournament held in Germany before lifting the trophy, with goals in the final from Nico Williams and Mikel Oyarzabal securing the win. England aimed to end 58 years of 'hurt' with their first major men's tournament win since 1966, but instead left fans and players heartbroken with a second successive European Championship final loss.
