On today's episode, Libby sits down to give you the inside scoop about what she's been up to and introduce listeners to the newest host of BTS, Jolynn Lee.
After 30 years of service, her Marine retired but the family remains connected to the active-duty community with two adult daughters having married the Corps and one adult son enlisted in the Corps. Jolynn and her husband serve as site leaders for Reboot Combat Recovery- Camp Lejeune. Of their 5 children, two remain at home (ages 14 & 12). Jolynn and her husband also have 7 grandchildren. Jolynn worked for many years as a special education teacher, before completing her graduate degree in Counseling from Liberty University. She went on to secure a graduate certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling and another in Military & Civilian Trauma Counseling, from East Carolina University.
In 2020, she joined with 18 other military spouses to co-author Brave Women, Strong Faith: Inspiring Stories by Military Women & Wives. She has served as President of the non-profit, the Camp Lejeune Leadership Society; as Director of Community for Planting Roots Military Ministry; and as a Specialized Instructor of Military Parents with STOMP, a division of the nonprofit PAVE (Partnerships for Action, Voices for Empowerment), advocating on behalf of military families with disabilities.
