Episode 33: The Man-Eaters of Tsavo
Manage episode 443599026 series 3461109
In 1898, workers building the Kenya-Uganda Railway began to vanish in the night. Rumors spread of two male lions that seemed to kill for pleasure, dragging men from their tents without leaving a trace. Workers claimed the lions were not of this world—that they were demons. But British military officer and engineer, John Henry Patterson, refused to believe the superstition. He would embark on a year-long effort to hunt them down before the camp and railway project was completely abandoned.
Come along with us on this blood-soaked safari as we venture back in time.
