Psalm 50
Verse of the Week: “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.” Psalm 50:15

Why do we worship?
God is the Supreme Sacrifice
“I have no complaint about your sacrifices or the burnt offerings you constantly offer. But I do not need the bulls from your barns or the goats from your pens.” Psalm 50:8 & 9
God is the All-Sufficient One
“all the animals of the forest are Mine, and I own the cattle on a thousand hills….all the animals of the field are mine.” Ps 50:10 & 11
Points people to Jesus.
“let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father” Matthew 5:16
Reminds us that we are people of eternity, not merely
the present.
“Abraham was looking for a city…designed and built by God.” Hebrews 11:10
