Psalm 47
Verse of the Week: “God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne.” Psalm 47:8

1. God is worthy of our worship
“Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a skillful psalm.” Psalm 47:6 & 7
“For the LORD Most High is to be feared” Psalm 47:2
“O clap your hands, all peoples; shout to God with the voice of triumph.” Psalm 47:1

2. Let God choose for you
“God chooses our inheritance for us” Psalm 47:4
“Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength” Jeremiah 17:5
“put your trust in the Lord” Psalm 4:5
“I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation” Micah 7:7
“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord” Psalm 130:5 & 6
“Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.” Psalm 33:20

3. God is in control
“God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne.” Ps. 47:8
“For the LORD Most High is to be feared, a great King over all the earth.” Psalm 47:2
“For God is the King of all the earth” Psalm 47:7
“God subdues peoples under us and nations under our feet.” Ps. 47:3
“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised” Psalm 145:3
“If it had not been the LORD who was on our side” Psalm 124:1 & 2
“Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Ps. 124:8
“God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne.” Psalm 47:8
“God has ascended with a shout, the LORD, with the sound of a trumpet.” Psalm 47:5
