Season 1 theme = Authentic Leader

Preamble:
When people are looking to see exemplar leadership, Christians are often exposed to mediocrity and a poor sense of judgement. Some Christian leaders show disappointing choices of actions in ministry and secular assignments. The flock that expects their shepherds to consult, understand, and direct them are demotivated with specific encounters.

Questions:

  • What motivated you to lead?
  • Why do you take up a role?
  • Does self-promotion inspire you?
  • Does self-preservation inspire you?
  • How do you see yourself as a leader?
  • How do others see you as a leader?

If the answers to these questions do not resonate with expectations of servant leadership and leading like Jesus, a motive trap may be at work in the life of a Christian leader. Such a trap must be avoided with some or all the antidotes highlighted in this episode.
