It's a lighter weekend with a prominent lightweight star William Zepeda headlining for Golden Boy Promotions and also, former two division world champ Oscar Valdez is a guest with our Dan Rafael on the latest "Big Fight Weekend Preview Podcast!"
Host T.J. Rives returns with Dan to talk the unbeaten Zepeda fighting England's Maxi Hughes in a 12 round eliminator for the IBF/WBA at lightweight. Zepeda has good power and is potentially headed for a title shot in another fight or two. Dan has more on the card with rising propect Floyd Schofield also on it.
Then, hear from the hard punching Mexican Valdez, as he's on the comeback trail from a loss to Emanuel Navarrete by fighting late this month. Valdez will meet Australian Liam Wilson on March 29th for Top Rank Boxing/ESPN+ main event in Glendale, AZ. Wilson also lost a wild bout to Navarrete, but the winner here will also get back in the title picture.
There's fight news on Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez, Shakur Stevenson and up and comer, Christian Mbilli, too.
And, the guys wrap with nostalgia on Michael Carbajal, the awful judging of the first Lennox Lewis-Evander Holyfield fight and more!
It's all part of the "Big Fight Weekend Preview Podcast" and make sure to follow/subcribe on Apple, Spreaker, Spotify, etc.
