Our interview today is with the lovely BJJ black belt Elizabeth "Lyzz" Mitrovic out of Precision Jiu Jitsu Academy in Sacremento, California. We discuss her beginnings in Hapkido as a means of learning self defense to beginning jiu jitsu as a means to be able to compete and how she has transitioned into a teaching role. Primarily how she has balanced her teaching responsibilities with her own competition goals. Lyzz goes over how teaching reinforces our own knowledge of the sport whereas our own training allows us the opportunity to focus on the techniques we feel we need to improve at that point in time.
