We start at the dispensation of Christ and follow through the restoration of the gospel in the last days. John the Baptist was ordained to the priesthood and prepared the way for Jesus Christ. Christ ordained his apostles to the high priesthood. The great apostasy was a different times in the old and new worlds prior to the restoration of the priesthood by John the Baptist and Peter, James & John to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery.
