I don't think that anybody would ever argue that the world needs more love. Jackie DeShannon wrote a song about it in 1965 - "What the world needs now, is love, sweet love." Nobody would argue that need. But the weird thing is that even though we recognize the need - we (Christians and non-Christians alike) aren't any better at figuring it out. The world needs more love...but what we have is so much hate! But what would it be like if we really understood (not just intellectually...but in our hearts) that the God of the Universe loves us like crazy - not because of who we are, but because of who he is? It might just change everything!
