It's PRIDE MONTH, y'all !!!!
What I stand for and what I believe is that we all are called to help the heteronormative society understand that we are not a threat to their reality, beliefs and existence and that by allowing us into their space, the space will expand instead of shrinking because of our talents, creativity, authenticity, passion and purpose. We need to help them to see us beyond our sexual orientation, who we sleep with, have sex with and how many times we have it.
But we cannot effectively work for or talk about change unless we know where we have been.
Urning, homosexual, homophile, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer etc. - each word has its long and fascinating history but in today's episode I will be sharing with you a history of how our community built or created its name, what’s behind each letter and why the order of the letters is so significant.
Let me know what you thought about this episode, whether it did resonate or not, your biggest takeaways, I’d love to hear from you. If you enjoyed the episode, take a screenshot of you listening to it on your phone, and share it on Instagram and tag me @coachagastarkowska and I’ll share your comments and breakthroughs on my Instagram stories as well.
