A flag is more than just a flag. It brings people together as it represents their common value, common goal and unity for just cause. Hope. Peace. Inclusivity. Equality. Freedom. Legacy. Integrity. Purity.
It was no different with our Pride Flag.
There are still people within our LGBTQ+ community who are unfamiliar with our own history and even flip the letters. Similarly, some of our brothers and sisters know very less or know nothing about our most prominent symbol. If we want to bring change to how we are perceived by the heteronormative society, and to show them that we are not a threat to them and their reality, we need to know where we have been, what makes us, what we stand for and how that essence reflects in our symbols.
So tune in to learn more about the history of the most famous and most recognized flag in the world : the Rainbow Flag.
