On June 17, 1994, while Olajuwon’s Rockets and Ewing’s Knick’s squared off for game five of the NBA finals, OJ Simpson decided to grab a gun and get into a white Bronco. Cue the helicopters! Cue Tom Brokaw! Cue some awkward Marv Albert transitions! On this episode of Booyah, Rob and Joe discuss all the ways the game/chase broadcast is boring and complicated and sad. They also ponder: Rob’s interaction with Ted Danson, All 4 One, the US military, the ’94 baseball strike, Anthony Mason maybe assaulting a woman, Biggie Smalls maybe making a cuckold out of Anthony Mason, and palatial houses in Brentwood, CA.
