Do you ever feel that others get all the breaks?
Do you sometimes feel that other people have it easier than you?
In this gritty Brain Burrow Digging Deep episode, director and actor Ryan Kruger talks about persistence in the face of failures. He also says that pursuing a dream is a long road.
He warns that, "It [success] never happens overnight" and that even when people seem to have it easy... it is rarely the case.
Ryan shares about knowing his goal, constantly working toward it, and not wasting time doing anything else. He talks fondly about his childhood and getting together with friends to make films. He also talks about his supportive parents (and their gentle guidance).
He also candidly shares how the drive to create art helped him climb out of the depths of depression.
Multi-award-winning Director Ryan Kruger is known for his unique conceptual shooting style bringing Narrative and visuals to his music videos spinning over the last 12 years. Working with Some of South Africa's biggest names in the music world. Picking up many awards and nominations from the likes of MTV and SAMA'S (South African Music Award) He has been regarded as one of SA's top Music video directors. But soon made his jump to feature films. Directing his first debut film "Fried Barry" in 2020, which he wrote and directed. [IMDB mini bio]
