God's love for us is profound and encompasses both nurturing and correction. Much like a loving parent disciplines their child, God's chastisement is aimed at our spiritual growth and development, not punishment for punishment's sake. The Scriptures, particularly in Hebrews 12:6-11, explain that "whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives." This divine discipline is a testament to God’s active involvement in our lives, intended to mold our character and steer us away from paths that lead to spiritual decay and towards righteousness.
