WorldSBK at Phillip Island treated us to some of the closest racing we've seen from that paddock for a decade. Toprak Razgotlioglu, Johnny Rea, and Alex Lowes all took home wins. With Scott Redding bagging three 3rds and Michael Van Der Mark close behind, the championship is tight for the top 5. Hopefully this is a preview of things to come for the entire year and we get a 3-4 horse race for the 'ship.
Unfortunately, amazing racing in Australia isn't the biggest story of the week. The global health crisis has caused cancellations and postponements throughout international sports competition. Dorna Sports has cancelled the Qatar GP for the MotoGP class because of a 2-week quarantine for anyone that has recently been in Italy - which of course is likely half the paddock. Thankfully Moto2 and Moto3 teams were already in Qatar from their winter test and can race. The Thai GP and Qatar WSBK round are both postponed. We have no idea where things will go from here.
Aside from all that serious stuff, this episode was nuts. Join us live next time to get in the middle of all these antics.
