Mr. Pacala has watched self-driving technology evolve from the early days of the DARPA Grand Challenge to today where he has a unique window into the future of automation through Ouster’s work with approximately 700 customers spanning the automotive, industrial, robotics, and smart infrastructure industries. Prior to Ouster, Mr. Pacala co-founded lidar company Quanergy Systems and served as the Director of Engineering. Before that, he was a Battery Engineer at Amprius, Inc. He received his Bachelor and Master degrees in mechanical engineering from Stanford University.
