The Health Risks of EMF and ELF Exposure: Insights from Researcher Don Maisch (PhD)

The ABC Toowong cancer cluster was a series of cancer cases reported among staff at a studio located in Brisbane in 2007. Electromagnetic fields (EMF) can be emitted from various sources, including power lines, electrical cabling, switchboards, meter boxes, and electronic devices. The World Health Organization (WHO) has listed EMF as a possible carcinogen.

Exposure to EMF and Extremely Low Frequencies (ELF) can lead to health issues, especially with high or long-term exposure. These exposures may occur in locations where individuals are unaware of their occurrence. Poor sleep and health issues can be some of the signs of higher-than-ideal levels of EMF and ELF exposure. Several studies have shown a link between exposure to EMF and ELF and health effects, such as an increased risk of leukaemia.

Knowing the levels of EMF and ELF exposure in your home or workplace can help address unexplained health issues. In this podcast, Researcher Don Maisch (PhD) discusses how EMF and ELF exposure can cause health issues and highlights building design flaws that contribute to unnecessary and unknown exposure to these fields.
