Today I will be speaking with Roxie Sarhangi of Roxie PR, a full-service public relations, social media, consultancy, and branding firm, founded in 2013. Roxie PR works with influential brands, businesses, and individuals in the fields of art and culture, architecture, interior design, hospitality, consumer products, luxury lifestyle, and wellness.

Based in West Hollywood, Roxie PR attracts best-in-class clients and tastemakers who are working across the U.S. and internationally. She thrives in shaping creative narratives to targeted audiences. Roxie’s dynamic, multi-tiered strategy involves a multitude of platforms for her clients, including securing top-tier media placements, business development through the right introductions, and panel opportunities, and positioning brands for long-term success and growth. A former professional actor, Roxie brings a unique perspective, honing the narrative and storytelling of each brand for a personal, layered, and detailed approach.

Her past and present clients include top interior designers Sophie Goineau, and Ryan Saghian, EMI Interiors, JHL Design, and luxury interior and furniture designer Ross Vincent. Since 2017, Roxie has led public relations for the Farhang Foundation, which partners with prestigious institutions in Los Angeles including LACMA, the Getty Museum, The Getty Villa, The Broad, Broad Stage, and other notable organizations.

For nearly a decade, Roxie was the senior PR consultant for Communication Arts + Design Inc., which specializes in the cultural landscape of California. During her time at the firm supervising PR and marketing campaigns, she managed clients such as PHX Architecture, Mark Weaver & Associates, Snyder Diamond showrooms, and All Coast Construction.

She leads public relations for the Farhang Foundation, a non-profit, non-religious, non-political organization established in 2008 to celebrate and promote Iranian art and culture for the benefit of the community at large. Farhang partners with prestigious institutions in Los Angeles including LACMA, the Getty Museum, The Getty Villa, The Broad, Broad Stage, The Hollywood Bowl, and other notable organizations. Standout projects for Farhang include public relations for the monumental, permanent public artwork, The Freedom Sculpture, on Santa Monica Blvd., which garnered over 70,000 attendees at the unveiling, as well as the annual celebration of Nowruz at UCLA attended by over 25,000 visitors yearly.

Roxie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English at UCLA. She worked at the Getty Museum's Research Institute during her final year in college, handling scholars’ requests regarding Frank Lloyd Wright correspondence. She has also been a chairperson for the ICAA’s Southern California Neoclassicists.

In this episode we will be discussing:

- The importance of telling your story

- What is PR and why it is the key element in your Marketing

- When is the right time to begin PR and how do I get the most from it
