Using Video to Make Money | Episode 36

The value of video goes FAR beyond Instagram Reels. Being able to take video and show up confidently on-camera is a skill, and just like any skill, it's one you can monetize!
This month inside of my coaching group, I am teaching a training on Zoom, and I realized that so many people may be stuck on the idea that video is only used for social media. The truth is, video has been a valuable tool for YEARS. Social Media and high-quality cellphones have just made creating and sharing videos more accessible than it's ever been.
However, don't be fooled by thinking that's the only way to use video. Zoom is an excellent tool that can be used to monetize the videos you take. Here a few features I love about Zoom.
- The option to SEE the person you're talking to.
- The ability to record the content you take.
- The ability to share your screen when you're teaching.
- Being able to go Live through Zoom into a Facebook group (while still having the call recorded, so you can upload it anywhere and share it on any platform!)
All of my Podcast episodes are recorded through Zoom. All of my trainings are recorded through Zoom. All of my coaching calls are recorded through Zoom. Inside my group, I record through Zoom and stream into Facebook Live, so it's easy for everyone to watch. (And no, this episode isn't sponsored, it's just a tool that I highly value).
Here's how you can use those features to make money in your business...
- Recording video for a digital course. This way you have the ability to screen share, which is so helpful for educational-based courses. For example, I will show things like equipment, editing examples, and how to stream from your Desktop, all of which couldn't be captured with a camera.
- Virtual Coaching Calls, which can be recorded and sent to your client after. The playback is SO helpful! They can go back and continue to gain value from the call. Also, you can go back and listen to any objections they had and capture their exact verbiage to help re-target your messaging.
- Building a membership or group coaching program. You can offer Live Q&A Calls for your members, which can be so valuable to people just getting started!
- Hosting challenges or virtual events where you stream the content into a Private Facebook Group and offer the recordings for those who couldn't watch live.
- Digital products that you can sell on your website, for your audience to purchase at any time.
