Wow, wow WOW! What an episode the girls have for you this week! In fact, it's so good.... they had to split it in two!
Holly and Chloe are chatting with the incredible Jacqui Duncan this week .... and next week, delving into the intricacies of the perfect brownie and an oaked Chardonnay. Chloe gets blindfolded, Holly is in tears and Jacqui's little friend hides under her security blanket when it all gets too much! What on earth are we talking about??? Well, you'll just have to tune in to find out!
Jacqui Duncan is an actress, comedian and voice actor. She has co-hosted, ‘The Shak’, and appeared in ‘Old School, ‘Home and Away’ and the hugely successful, ‘Underbelly’. Her voice acting credits include, ‘Giggle and Hoot’ as Hootabelle, ‘Bernie Sand Wars’, ‘The Eggsperts’, as well as several characters on the new ABC children’s show, ‘FriendZSpace’. She is also in high demand as a commercial voice, voicing campaigns for Telstra, Pepsi, Banana Boat, Continental and Sunsilk.
So, what do the girls talk about? Well, EVERYTHING! Jacqui and Holly give us a rundown on the best approach to snagging the job in an animation audition as we get a bit of background on the process that they both went through for FriendZSpace. We hear about the crazy jobs Jacqui had when she was doing her thang in the US, and the heartbreak that comes when a long term contract isn't renewed. Jacqui very kindly talks openly about her experiences with depression and body image struggles that she has come up against throughout her career and we get to hear some strategies she uses today to keep her mental health in check.
