Today, we're talking all about your ACTION plan to accomplish the goals you want to nail. Because it's not just about self-improvement. It takes action to propel your life forward, and tha'ts what we cover today.

Summary of the Steps Mentioned in The Episode:

#1) Set your goals first.

This is for your own motivation and clarity. Don’t just make it outcome dependent, get one growth factor in there (one is way more in your control and rewarding in the long run).

#2) Create your action plan.

What do you think is going to work for you? Search your heart first and don’t necessary go with what books tell you to do. You’re much more likely to stick with this.

The more actionable you can make your action plan the better. Use the invasive power of technology to get into your life.

  • If your eyeballs are always on your calendar, get recurring calendar events on that calendar so you know it’s time for you to take action.
  • If you spend a lot of time in your commute, take that time to review your upcoming calendar.
  • If you’re always on your iPhone, get the Counter App to count how many times a week you do something. (This has been really effective for me).

#3) Take ACTION and make progress on your action plan.

  • Remember: Ready, Fire, Aim is a much better strategy than ready, aim for a long time, and then kind of fire.
  • Set your plan and take action. For that first month of consistent action, don’t deviate. Hit your action based quotas every single time, just to see what happens.
  • Support systems and accountability can help - people who share common goals, your team, your tribe.
  • Your reset and reassess button is when? A month from now?
  • Are you burning out? Is it too much?
  • Are you not getting anywhere? Or are you focusing on the wrong thing?
  • Are you attracting the wrong people?
  • FINE. NOW you actually know!

A note on setbacks, discouragement, lack of results. There is no failing if you focus on the self-improvement aspect.

#4) Be at Peace. You’re never going to be fully satisfied alone. So stop obsessing over the outcome alone and look at the big picture. Find peace.
