On this episode of Catholic Forum, after a news update from The Dialog, we have two special guests. First we talk to Michael Foley, the famed author of the international bestseller "Drinking with the Saints," about his book, "Why We Kiss Under the Mistletoe: Christmas Traditions Explained." In this Christmas must-have book, he explains, celebrates, and gives us a glimpse into all the sometimes macabre and always fascinating nooks and crannies of the holiday. Then, Sister Ann David Strohminger, OSF, Delegate for Religious for the Diocese of Wilmington, tell us the origins of the most important Christmas tradition; the Christmas Nativity Scene, that was started by Saint Francis of Assisi 8oo years ago. Catholic Forum, a production of the Diocese of Wilmington's Office of Communications, airs in its entirety every Saturday afternoon at 1:30 on Relevant Radio 640 and is available on Apple, Spotify, Amazon Music and iHeartRadio podcasts. You can see a video of the interviews on this podcast here.
