This talk will present students and faculty/staff with an overview of the library collections. This includes items in our digital collections, digital databases, and the foci of our paper collections. In addition, there will be a brief presentation current collaborative efforts to continue excellent collections in Madison as well as throughout the region, the nation and the world. Although this talk will be geared toward students and those less familiar with our current collections, there will be discussion of new databases, projects, and research strategies. If anyone would like an outline of the presentation to see what is new, please contact Todd at todd.ambelang@wisc.edu. Todd is the Bibliographer at Memorial Library for Scandinavian Humanities, Classics, Jewish and South Asian Studies. In addition, he is a Visiting Lecturer in Scandinavian Studies this semester. He has an MA in Scandinavian Philology and an MA in Library and Information Studies from 2007 and in 2015, he successfully defended his PhD in Scandinavian Philology on Disability in Saga Literature. His interests are linguistics, etymology, lexicography, cultural linguistics, linguistic patterns, linguistic exchanges and hybrids, disability studies, and studying receptions of the under-represented in the world.
