This introduction explains the concept of Change Over Time. Learn what you should expect and hope for in the future. The basic premise of the show is that I historically think about subjects I geek. Although episodes will be about various topics, what will tie them together is history. I may be at a steampunk convention talking with someone selling safety razors. Or I’ll be sitting down with an actor portraying Benjamin Franklin. I may also be talking about different methods of oral history. I’ll be doing all of it as a historian. This episode also talks about the difference between history and the past as well as what it means to think historically. All that in under 5 minutes. Music is Dave Brubeck, "My Favorite Things."
