ABOUT THIS EPISODE

In this episode, we have the privilege of hearing from Ori Shriqui, the Team Captain, Nate Kovo, the Head of Mechanics, Ofer Bar-on, the Head of CAD (Computer Assist Design), Kenny Green, a dedicated Parent Volunteer, and Rabbi Lior Chakotai, the Menahel of AMIT Modiin High School for Boys. Together, they make up the Trigon 5990 team that competed in an international robotics competition in Houston, Texas.

Despite the fierce competition, the Trigon 5990 team remained true to their values and beliefs. When the final stage of the competition fell on Shabbos, they chose not to compromise their observance of the day of rest. Instead, they wrote a letter explaining their decision and handed it to the announcer.

To their surprise, students from all over the world stood up and applauded their decision. The announcer then addressed the crowd and said, "Thank you for the reminder that there are other things outside the world of robotics that are also important."

This inspiring story of commitment and dedication to one's values will leave you feeling empowered and motivated to stay true to your own beliefs, no matter the circumstances.
