After Robbie Robertson's death, we thought it would be appropriate to double back and discuss Scorsese's most iconic documentary but then we got carried away and ended up talking about Barbenheimer for most of the episode. Austin was on a tight schedule and I thought it'd be difficult to do 90 minutes on a rock doc so I took us down a few too many rabbit holes and, before I knew it, we were out of time. It's all tangentially related to The Last Waltz; we discuss big cultural moments and the manner in which our notions of celebrity have changed in the years since this film. I think it's still a good episode but it's just not a very good Last Waltz episode. What are you gonna do, ya know?
