💉 How did we get addicted to growth? How did we get addicted to a concept such as GDP when its creator warned us that we shouldn’t use to value our prosperity. Over the years, we know the problems, we even know the solutions, yet we don’t manage to move ahead. So what is wrong? What is stopping us from moving ahead? There are some underlying problems with our addiction we need to address if we want to move forward.

🎓 To discuss this addiction and how to get out of it I have immense pleasure to talk with Robert Constanza. Bob, is Professor of Ecological Economics at the Institute for Global Prosperity at the University College London. His transdisciplinary research integrates the study of humans and the rest of nature to address research, policy and management issues at multiple time and space scales, from small watersheds to the global system. He has notably contributed to the development of concepts such as the valuation of ecosystem services and the planetary boundaries. His latest book called Addicted to Growth - Societal Therapy for a Sustainable Wellbeing Future just came out.
