We find our young protagonist, Mary, caught in a whirlwind of emotions as she comes face to face with her own fierce determination and the anguished cries of Colin, the boy hidden away behind the walls of the great house. Mary has found solace in the embrace of nature and the warmth of true friendship as she tends the garden with Dickon, their bond growing stronger every day.
On this fateful eve, Mary's peaceful slumber is shattered by the sounds that have haunted the house for many years—Colin's agonizing screams. Fear and uncertainty grip Mary's heart as she is summoned to the boy's side by the desperate nurse. Approaching Colin's room, her heart pounding, the smouldering flame of her anger set ablaze by Colin's unrelenting cries, Mary finds herself stepping into a defining role. Will her fiery temper and unwavering will-power be enough to subdue Colin's fears and struggles?
