The visitors are at once alien and eerily organized—three familiar forms, two hulking fish-beasts, and one disturbingly humanlike leader who steps forward like royalty from another world.
Gifts are offered, languages are tested, and the translator stumbles—until the deep reveals it understands far more than anyone expected. Instead of talking to governments or generals, the sea asks to speak with the one person least prepared to be an envoy. The episode closes on a stunned, cinematic cliffhanger, promising a collision of cultures that is as political as it is personal.
