In this week’s post, we are going to review the 25 ways you can change your mindset. This review is based on the past 25 episodes of my podcast Coffee Mindset Go. A review every 25 episodes sparks your mind and keeps the lessons learned fresh. Let's dive in. 1. A Systematic way of thinking: Mindset has 3 basic pillars: Being physically able, innovation, and analytical. Focusing on these 3 pillars will start you on the path to a better mindset. 2. Being physically able: The body and mind are connected. You get one body it needs the constant attention. Treat it right and you’ll be able to perform longer than most. 3. Problem-solving using analytical mindset: Do you look at problems in 2D or 3D? A slight change to your mindset can help you solve problems in 3 dimensions. Seeing through “the fog” allows you to see a problem clearly. Clear out the emotion then solve the problem. 4. Mindset F3: Using a system to help you solve any problem. Find, Fix and Finish has been used in the most dynamic of situations. Find the problem, fix with a solution, finish with the action. 5. A 20-year mindset: Entrepreneur and SJAC swim coach Peter Holcroft waited 20 years to build his dream in a reality. A true inspiration of risking everything and following your dream. 6. Tragedy to Triathlons: From almost losing her leg to getting back on her bike. Kim’s mindset journey sets her apart from most. After this episode, she went on to qualify for World Championships. 7. The Dark Side of Mindset: High-level performers have a fire inside them. It’s the one that keeps them going when everyone else goes home. It’s the side you never want anyone to see. The dark side of mindset is powerful but has to be controlled so it can be tapped into at any moment. 8. 10 Whales 4 Sharks 6 Minnows: What are your goals? A simple way of tracking your process every week, staying away from the vices and having the best 10 years of your life. Have you kept up with your minnows? 9. Everyday Stressors: The daily stress of life are those little pokes you get every day. If you deal with it wrong you go away. Being aware and keeping ahead of the stress allows you to maintain optimal mindset. 10. Inspiration is not enough: As humans, we all get inspired but that’s not enough. Average people improve. Real performers take and use a change mindset approach. These are the people that excel to the top 1%. 11. Underground Mindset: Carol Dweck’s book is the thought leader inside mindset. Fixed and growth mindset is only 1 aspect of your mindset toolbox. The other pieces are part of that underground mindset. 12. Consistency, Habits & Rituals: Distractions are everywhere. To fight the distractions you need to ensure you have proper positive rituals in place to ensure consistency. 13. Mindful Thinking: Humans are emotional based decision makers. Understanding your own emotional triggers and using them to your advantage is extremely powerful. 14. Your inner voice of accomplishment: That whispering voice in your mind. It’s the constant whisper of change. Don’t ignore the voice…act on it. Change. 15. Protecting your own time: It’s the only thing we can never get back. So protect it. Give the forearm to the people always trying to steal it. Learn the word No. Don’t ever be scared of hurting a person's feelings because of your time restrictions. 16. 3 Words you need to know for successful mindset: Discipline, determination, and dedication are the 3Ds you need to always stay the course. These 3 words are not easy to follow but optimal mindset requires you be married to them. 17. A Strategic or Tactical Mindset: How do you think? Are you strategic or tactical thinker? If you’re in a role of leadership you need to understand how you think before you run a team. 18. Your Life Journey: We are on it right now. It’s a constant. Being exposed to humility will humble you. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and see the value in your failures. 19. Mindset of combat c
