Mo (@moactuallyUK), Alex (alexandrakessie) and returnee Jay (@saikiriartguide)

It’s a mini-episode, where guest co-host Alex talks about her experience being at the 2020 BAFTA Awards including breaking down the controversy surrounding the lack of diversity (#BAFTASSOWHITE). Alex as a Black British writer and film maker, was able to give her first hand inside industry view, and her take on the current state of the British film industry.

This episode also marks the brief return of Jay to the pod, former day 1 co-host, who adds her usual wit and alternative views.

Alex talks about seeing and hearing live that Joaquin Phoenix speech, also the awkwardness felt in the room.

Full episode out next week, which will be our Queen and Slim, deep-dive and full review, so make sure you are SUBCRIBED to the podcast so you don’t miss it.

Special mention to “our” BAFTA winners, which includes: Jodie Turner-Smith, John Boyega, Micheal Ward, Daniel Kaluuya and Awkwafina, just to name a few.
