Galaxy recently sat with Shannon Lee and answered questions fans have been wanting to hear. Shannon Emery Lee is an American actress, martial artist and businesswoman. She is the daughter of late martial arts film star Bruce Lee and retired martial arts teacher Linda Lee Cadwell, the granddaughter of Cantonese opera singer Lee Hoi-Chuen, and the younger sister of Brandon Lee. As a youth Shannon studied Jeet Kune Do, the martial art created by her father, under Richard Bustillo, one of her father's students. However, her serious studies did not begin until the late 1990s. To train for parts in action movies, Shannon studied Jeet Kune Do with Ted Wong. Lee is president of the Bruce Lee Foundation. She was the executive producer of the 2008 television series The Legend of Bruce Lee, based on her father's life, and the 2009 documentary film How Bruce Lee Changed the World. In 2015, Perfect Storm Entertainment and Shannon Lee announced the series Warrior. Warrior is an American action-drama television series, executive-produced by Shannon Lee and Justin Lin, that premiered on April 5, 2019, on Cinemax. It is based on an original concept and treatment by Bruce Lee. It is considered the first Martial arts drama produced by Cinemax. Jonathan Tropper was chosen by the executive producers to be the showrunner for the series. In April 2019, Cinemax renewed the series for a second season which premiered on October 2, 2020. It was Cinemax's final original offering before ceasing original programming.
