Today's guests are Dr. Jonathan Fader and Amanda Fazio. We are diving straight into sports psychology.
For over twenty years, Dr. Jonathan Fader has used performance coaching to help pro athletes, firefighters, and everyday people be better at anything. Fader, as he’s known to friends, offers insights and strategies to lead a meaningful, satisfying life. Equipped with a PhD in Clinical Psychology and a lifelong passion for helping others, Dr. Fader has dedicated himself to elevating human potential. Whether through his work with SportStrata and Union Square Practice, where he counseled the New York Giants and the New York Mets, or as an author, coach, and speaker, Fader uses motivational interviewing, performance training, and cognitive behavioral therapy to unlock the psychology of success. Whatever your calling, no matter the obstacle, Fader will help you level up...And have fun.
Amanda received her master’s degree (M.S.) in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior from the University of Tennessee in May of 2021. Her passion lies with empowering athletes and performers to reach their highest potential both on and off the field through the teaching of evidence-based mental techniques, specifically surrounding positive psychology and a strength-based approach. It is her goal for performers to not solely use mental techniques and increase enjoyment in performance, but to find it in everyday life. Amanda’s most recent experience ranges from facilitating mental skills training programs with youth baseball and softball players to conducting research with para-sport athletes on flow state experiences. She is also currently working towards becoming a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).
